It has been a week. And apparently it's not over yet since the one hour work thing this afternoon is still ongoing five hours later... So not much to say about this episode except I liked it. Fringe can break your heart, but they do it with style.

- I am more curious than ever about Nina's involvement in Olivia's (and Rachel's!) life. Plus how casually she leans on Nina's desk? Definitely not the same strained Blueverse relationship.
- Walter and Peter, and Walter's penitence. Also Olivia trying to avoid Peter altogether (and time slippage!) and Peter just not knowing what's going on. And [personal profile] rainer76 - kept thinking of your fic the entire episode. You totally called it. ;)
- Angsty Lincoln is angsty and just as closed down and hurting as first season Olivia. I kept expecting them to bring in Shapeshifter!Robert. And Olivia still trying to awkwardly make him feel like part of the team.
- um... I'm sure there will be more later...

Oh, I like my misguided!Peter theory...but I guess in true compromise fashion, a partial re-set would work. Best of both worlds! ;)

Definitely agree that her powers are awakening, whether its universe hopping (strange that nobody in a populated room noticed her blip out?)

True, but they did not do so before, either -- on the street, it was arguably less likely, but she's done it in the middle of a (different) Federal Building office too...

They do like to play with the character point of view a lot. I mean the whole of last season we thought the machine was a weapon because the characters thought it was and we were along for the ride. I'd buy that Peter was willing to erase himself for the sake of setting things right, but now he's having a case of second thoughts because he survived somehow, and nobody ways to remain in limbo, even for the greater good.

It's not hard being dead in the end; dying is the hardest thing though: The act of entering the Machine without knowing whether he would ever come out was noble, but I can't blame Peter for pushing his way back into existence, especially now that Olivia was pulling on the other end (as Mark Little's story implies, I think: they're awakening, the Cortexikids).

this is not going to be another winter of nonstop sinus infections like last year

By the way, have you tried neti pots? They really help, at least the overpriced (but very effective) electric one I got: definitely cleans everything out: http://www.amazon.com/SinuPulse-Elite-Advanced-Irrigation-System/dp/B001CWT4JI

Guess I could send you mine too; my sinuses are doing pretty good these days...
