Date: 2012-07-20 07:31 pm (UTC)If by "real camera", you mean one that can be used in full manual mode (including either turning off the auto focus, or locking it in a 'scenery' mode), that's really all you need. Most of the point-and-shoots on the market today have better features and more megapixels than my 5 year old DSLR. Tutorial to follow then, albeit slowly - there hasn't been much time for sitting around on this vacation.
