Busy hands leave the mind free to wander... Except, I've come to the realization that several things I've written lately are actually re-treads of stories I've written before. This makes me sad that not only am I unintentionally plagiarizing, but I'm plagiarizing myself.

I suppose it does. I know I can't be the only one.

It just feels rather obvious to me. The recent shack fic is a pale copy of 'Bleeding Daylight', and 'Mistletoe' has a lot in common with another one of nearly the same name I wrote in SG1 fandom. Well, at least they aren't in the same fandom, but it makes it fairly obvious what types of stories I like ;)

Hmm. I've done both. There was one actual fic where I knew I was stealing large chunks from another ficlet of mine, and I just gave myself permission to do it--I think it was for Day of Indulgence. Another time I had a comment fic that I posted as comment fic again without realizing it--though the person whose post I commented on did!
