Prompt exchanges are always a little nerve-wracking, but your prompt happened to fit really well with some ideas I'd been kicking around most of the summer but couldn't bring together in any useful way, so I was really excited when I read it. (not saying that there weren't a few drinks involved in getting the sections to play nice together ;)
One of the things that really hooked me on Fringe was that they really went in-depth exploring the one relevant alternate reality, unlike most sci-fi which just glosses it over and moves on to the next. But it makes me really wonder what other possibilities are out there, what with Walter pointing out the probability of them existing on more than one occasion.
I'm only going to assume that somebody at MD was able to reconstruct the missing piece of the machine in the blue 'verse, because really, would you say "no can do" to Nina?
