The problem with drabbles, or at least the problem for me with drabbles, is that I can't just write something without knowing *why* it's happening. Which inevitably leads to longer fic. I have something working its way through my subconscious that's asking to be written, except it's not short and superficial, and I'm pretty sure that's what's holding me back, not having the time to properly invest in it at the moment.
